Signature Builders, Inc. was founded by Bert Butterfield in 1991 on the premise that every home should be a unique reflection of the homeowner, and that every home building experience uniquely reflects on the builder.  Bert began his building career as a project manager in the commercial building trade where design creativity, customer-focus, expert communications, organization, precision and consistent follow-through became his hallmarks.  After ten years of supervising the construction of shopping centers, hotels and restaurants, Bert realized that these business-driven elements of success in commercial construction combined with his friendly personality would translate perfectly into the construction of custom homes for discriminating clients.  Since then, Bert and Signature Builders, Inc. have worked with many customers to visualize, plan and build their unique dream home in the rolling hills of southeastern Wisconsin.  We want to thank our many customers for reflecting on their experiences with us throughout this website.
